Offering discounts can be a powerful marketing strategy for your online store. To offer discounts, you can create discount tiers, set up automatic discounts, or set sale prices for individual products.
You can update and manage existing discounts from the Discounts section in Jazz. Before you update a discount, check if another staff might also be making changes to the same discount.
Individual Discount
You can define discount price with each product. This is a fix discount and applies on any quantity of the product. To enable this, go to Data Management section and click products. Edit a product and add discount price, this discount price is applied to the product when the customer places an order.
Volume Percent Discount
In volume percent discount you can define different tiers for the discount. To do so follow the next steps:
- Go to the discounts section in Data Management.
- Select Percent Discount from discount formula dropdown.
- In the override change field, any fractional value after the percentage discount can be converted into a standard fraction. For example, 30% discount price on a $7 product will be $4.90. Instead of 90 cents if you want that a constant 95 cents is applied, the discounted price will be $4.95 instead of $4.90.
- Enable compound discount if you want to apply the additional discount on top of the discounted price configured at the product level. For example, a 10% discount on a $10 product is configured at the product level. If the compound flag is on, the volume discount of 5% for the purchase of more than 10 products will apply on top of the 10% discount. That is, $10 x 0.1 x 0.05 = $8.5.
- You can define different volume purchase discount tiers according to your need, add a description of your discount tier, add a quantity of a product, and a certain percentage discount to customers.

- Enable the check box of Apply discount store-wide if you want to give a discount to customers on all products, disable it if you want to give a discount to specific customers.
- Click save, all changes will be saved. When the buyer comes to your online store and the quantity of products added to the cart by the customers matches the discount tier quantity you defined then he/she will get a percentage discount on the individual products.
