Customers

Interacting with your customers is an important part of running your business. Every time a new customer places an order with your store, the customer and order details are updated in the system. You can review all your customers and manage your customer information from the Customers area of your Jazz Manage admin.

If your customers create an account then they can link with you as Online Buyer, or you can add a customer and their address information that will autofill during checkout. They can also view their order history with your store, and see the current order status for any purchases they make.

Managing customers

When you add a new customer then they can place an order with your store, their order details are automatically added to your transactions list. You can email customers from the admin using their profile information, and depending on the circumstances, you can also manually add, edit, or delete a customer profile. If you want to send discounts or emails to a specific customers, then you can also do this.

Add customers

Steps:

  1. From your Jazz Manage admin, click Data Management -> Customers.
  2. From the Customers page, click Add customer.
  3. Fill in the compulsory fields and add locations, you can add BILL TO, SHIP TO and BILLTOSHIPTO locations of your customer, one location should be set primary.
  4. You can also add Shipping cost of each location that will be added during checkout with total cost of order.
  5. Click Save to create the customer profile.

Edit customers

If a customer profile already exists in Jazz Manage, then you can edit its information on the Customers page:

Edit a customer’s name or email

Steps:

  1. From your Jazz Manage admin, go to Data Management -> Customers.
  2. Click the edit button of the customer profile you want to edit.
  3. In the Edit customer dialog, you can change:
    • the customer’s name
    • the customer’s email address and phone number
  4. Click Save to confirm your changes to the customer profile’s information.

Edit a customer’s address

Steps:

  1. From your Jazz Manage admin, go to Data Management -> Customers.
  2. Click the edit button of the customer profile you want to edit.
  3. Click the edit icon of the location you want to update.
  4. Change the customer’s address details and click Save.

Edit a customer’s shipping service

Steps:

  1. From your Jazz Manage admin, go to Data Management -> Customers.
  2. Click the edit button of the customer profile you want to edit.
  3. From the shipping service drop down, select the shipping service you want to update.
  4. Click Save to confirm your changes.

Edit a customer’s salerep, tax group, terms code and group code.

Steps:

  1. From your Jazz Manage admin, go to Data Management -> Customers.
  2. Click the edit button of the customer profile you want to edit.
  3. From the salerep, tax group, terms code and group code drop down, select the options you want to update.
  4. Click Save to confirm your changes.

Delete customers

You can delete customer profile records from Jazz Manage if you no longer want the customer to use your store.

Steps:

  1. From your Jazz Manage Admin, go to Customers.
  2. On the Customers page, in the Actions tab click the archive button of the customer profile you want to delete.
  3. The customer will be deleted.
  4. In the Archive tab click the redo button, if you want to restore the customer.

Search for customers

Use the search bar on the Customers page to search for specific customer profiles. You can search for any part of a customer’s name.

Enter a search term into the search bar, and your customer profile list will update to show you the customers that match that term.
